چکیده
Abstract Background Laparoscopic bariatric surgeries in morbidly obese patients have shown a steep rise recently. Quadratus lumborum block (QLB) has been used to decrease pain various kinds of surgeries. The purpose this study is evaluate the ability pre-emptive QLB intra- and postoperative opioid consumption. Results Intraoperative HR MAP were significantly lower group starting 20 min after initiation. additional fentanyl requirements, NRS scores at rest with movement, nausea vomiting consumption rescue analgesia also for 12 h. Early ambulation was recorded group. Conclusions Our results suggest that bilateral posterior reduced during laparoscopic decreased requirements side effects.

INTRODUCTION Atherosclerosis has a complex etiology that leads to arterial obstruction and often results in inadequate perfusion of the distal limbs. Patients with atherosclerosis can have severe complications of this condition, with widespread systemic manifestations, and the operations undertaken are often challenging for anesthesiologists. متن کاملA Review of the Quadratus Lumborum Block and ERAS
The use of truncal nerve blocks has been described since 2001. Since then, there have been many studies trying to understand the ideal clinical scenarios for its use. Since 2001, the transversus abdominis plane block has evolved in many ways including from landmark based technique to ultrasound guided and more recently, into the quadratus lumborum (QL) block. Its anatomical placement, concentra...

OBJECTIVE Studies in other surgical specialties have suggested that pre-emptive wound infiltration using a local anesthetic may reduce post-operative pain. We report the first randomized trial to assess the use of pre-emptive local anesthesia in video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). METHOD Thirty-one consecutive patients undergoing bilateral needlescopic VATS sympathectomy for palmar hyperh...
متن کاملA prospective, randomized and controlled study of interscalene brachial plexus block for arthroscopic shoulder surgery
BACKGROUND The shoulder area is mainly innervated with the C5 and C6 nerve roots, and interscalene brachial plexus block (ISB) is widely used for postoperative analgesia after shoulder surgery. However, it is associated with adverse effects, such as numbness and weakness in the blocked arm due to an unwanted block of the lower brachial plexus (C7-T1). We hypothesized that the C5 approach during...
